Mat Walklate’s Men (with caller)

Return to Previous Page

Mat Walklate’s Ceilidh Band performs a mix of jigs and reels and brings along a ceilidh band caller who comes down onto the dance floor to organise the dancing.

“Energetic jigs, hornpipes, polkas and reels will create a proper Celtic ceilidh!”

Mat Walklate himself is a champion whistle and flute player. Guitar or keyboard provide the rhythm with Mat on flute for small events.
A choice of fiddle, melodeon, bodhran, keyboards or drums can be added to the band for larger functions. For a ceilidh or barn dance, the band also brings an experienced dance-caller with them to explain and demonstrate the steps and moves for each dance, showing you and your guests exactly what to do and how to do it.

With a superb PA system reproducing great sound in any venue, you’ll be sure of some excellent ‘craic’ with Mat Walklate’s Ceilidh Band.
