Looking for characteristic picnic and Pimms sounds for your garden party? How about a toe-tapping New Orleans-inspired presentation of iconic Dixieland jazz and blues, all judiciously mixed together with other well-known popular tunes and performed with panache in hallowed traditional style – It’s a mix that’s guaranteed to put a spring in the step. Whatever the weather, it’s sunshine music.
“Whatever the weather, this is happy, sunshine music guaranteed to put a spring in the step.”
If you’re looking for music al fresco, the Chicago Swing Katz can perform a mobile ‘strolling serenade’ to entertain your guests. The Chicago Swing Katz Trad Jazz Band can provide an acoustic quartet, with clarinet and trumpet interweaving melodic phrases on the topline, while banjo and Sousaphone set out the rhythmic and harmonic framework. Immaculately attired in traditional striped blazers and straw-boater hats, the musicians successfully recreate the iconic image of the Dixieland Jazz Age, reinforcing the period charm of their music
No electrical power source is required for a Chicago Swing Katz performance, as the instruments are all designed to be played acoustically. This makes the ensemble extremely versatile and flexible, and they’re happy to play just about anywhere, although a bandstand or awning offers shelter from the elements as well as providing an aesthetically appropriate setting.
Want music for dancing? With the full six piece line-up, adding trumpet and drums, the Chicago Swing Katz Trad Jazz Band can provide a more up-tempo set of tunes for dancing later on in the evening. When playing music for dancing, the band comes equipped with a top-quality PA system to amplify the sound.
- Toe-tapping trad jazz tunes
- Four-piece unit with flexible repertoire
