Grinch Mountain Bluegrass Band

Return to Previous Page

Grinch Mountain is a real down-home old fashioned American Bluegrass Band. The band pays tribute to the era in the 1940’s and 1950’s when bluegrass music ruled the radio airwaves in America. The band performs a full range of the most popular songs from way back then, along with toe-tapping banjo and fiddle-led instrumentals. It’s full-on Vintage Americana, providing the perfect backdrop for an American themed Hoedown or Wild West Party

“Vintage 1940’s American bluegrass band with hoedown style barn dance caller”

The trademark Appalachian sound of this five piece is produced through the expert layering of the quick but playful banjo, mandolin, guitar and double bass, over the sweet drones of the fiddle – a mix of driving instrumentals and songs featuring high lonesome lead vocals and three-part harmony that transports you back to the pastures of pre-war Kentucky.

The band includes a dance caller, with a repertoire of easy Hoedown style dances that are fun for everyone to join in – from beginners to experienced dancers. The caller will come down onto the dance floor and walk you through the dances and when the music strikes up everyone will be “dos-y-dohing” with the best of them. All you have to do is grab your Stetson, pull on your cowboy boots and shout “Yee Hah!”

  • Vintage 1940’s Americana from London’s premier Bluegrass band.
  • Includes caller for Hoedown barn dancing.
  • Fully-equipped with a top-quality PA system
