Swing For Sale

Return to Previous Page

Swing for Sale are a London based swing band with a big sound. Comprising of Peter on guitar, Edward on double bass and a singing drummer William, you’ll be surprised there’s only three of them when toes start tappin’ and cats start jivin’. These boys live and breathe the music. Folks always agree that their authentic suits and original instruments look as good as they sound!

“A three piece born to bring swing back to life, from the swagger of their suits to the strum of their strings.”

The boys have taken Europe by storm; playing anything from international jazz festivals to The Royal Albert Hall and West End Live in Trafalgar Square. However, they’re not afraid to take things easy either and love to make the most of their intimate sound – quietly cooking up the perfect atmosphere to ensure the event stays cool. If you do want a bigger sound, the addition of a sax and trumpet will certainly add some coal to the fire! You could even welcome the UKs leading vintage vocal trio The Harmony Girls if you want to sing along and have a real nostalgia trip. We know they’ll get you “In The Mood.”

Since forming in 2012, the repertoire has certainly expanded, but Swing for Sale have stayed true to their roots. 1930’s to early 1950’s is their game and they don’t like to lose! The band will, however, take on-board any requests, especially if it’s for that special first dance. If you’d rather scratch a vinyl, the guys will be more than happy to put it through their speakers. Heck, if you like they’ll even stay behind and keep the turntables turnin’. We all know for some folks that where they leave their hat is their home and their hat ain’t leaving that dance floor all night.

So if you fancy a night with the most swingin’ band in town, dial the operator and for Swing for Sale!

If you’re looking for a full-on night of 1940’s magic, the guys can also provide a live backing band for the brilliant Andrews Sisters’ tribute –  The Harmony Girls . If you’re interested in booking both bands together, please get in contact for a bespoke quote.
