"1920s and 1930s Vintage Americana – Jazz, Blues, Gospel and Ragtime"
Think back to the 1920’s and 1930’s alcohol prohibition in America when unlicenced bootleg bars proliferated. This is the Jug band era – an illicit time when make-shift Jug bands mixed blues, early jazz, gospel and ragtime to create a new exciting musical blend. The Jake Leg Jug Band – complete with both jug and washboard – recreates this period.
The five piece line-up features male and female vocals backed by tasty banjo and guitar licks, while double bass and trombone set up swinging rhythms that will fill the dance floor in no time. Dressed in keeping with the period, the band provides a picturesque and original back drop for American themed events.
- Authentic sound of 1920’s and 1930’s America
- Foot tapping Jazz, Blues, Gospel and Ragtime
- Fully-equipped with a top-quality PA system
