Those rip-roaring jigs, reels, polkas and hornpipes are sure to have all of your guests out of their seats and up on their feet on the dancefloor in no time at all, gyrating away like there’s no tomorrow!
“King Ceilidh Barn Dance Band plays an irresistible mix of Irish, English, Scottish, French and American tunes to create a barnstorming ceilidh…”
Never barn danced before? No problem the band brings a dance caller to organise the dances – the caller is quite used to dealing with all ability levels, from seasoned experts to complete beginners. Don’t worry if you and your guests tend to get your feet (and almost everything else) a bit tangled up to begin with – this is completely normal! Besides ‘getting it wrong’ is half the fun anyway!
The caller starts with really simple dances that complete beginners feel quite at home with. Each dance introduces something new. Want a Scottish Ceilidh. The caller will include Scottish favourites such as Strip The Willow, The Gay Gordons and The Dashing White Sergeant. After an Irish Ceili? Expect The Siege of Ennis and The Bridge of Athlone + all your favopurite Irish songs. Going American? Get ready to Dos y Doh in cowboys hats at an American style hoedown.
King Ceilidh Barn Dance Band present a splendid traditional British barn dance, a wild Irish knees-up, a Scottish ceilidh or an American hoedown.

Kerstine Bury’s 40th –
We chose this band after listening to a few on the website, and they were truly fantastic. Extremely talented, professional and friendly, they went above and beyond to make it a wonderful do (my 40th and my dad’s 70th afternoon garden party); for example they kindly let me play a song; and when my 2-year-old wanted to join in with them they were extremely encouraging. Everyone bar none thought that they did a perfect job. Thank you so much King Ceilidh!
Emily & Shaun Berry’s Wedding –
We would just like to thank you very much for a brilliant evening of music and dancing at our wedding. We have had a lot of great feedback about how fun you were, you even made the ‘non-dancing’ people dance! We really enjoyed it. Thank you very much.
Rachael & Michael’s Wedding –
Hi Jennie, I would be grateful if you could thank the King Ceilidh Barndance Band for me. We had a wonderful wedding day on Sunday 25th May – cant believe it was a week ago now. The band were fantastic and we had lots of positive comments from our guests. Our guests were eagar to dance as soon as the music started and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were running over time yet the band were flexible and adapted to the new timings to make things run smoothly.
