As leader of The Pump Room Trio, Mike first encountered the classical ‘Top Ten’ while entertaining visitors to the world-famous Pump Room in Bath. Viennese waltzes and gypsy dances, interspersed with popular show-tunes from the iconic Broadway and West End musicals, along with well-known classical excerpts and vignettes from many of the great and some less familiar composers, all featured on the menu in the tea-room.
“Classical treasures and modern gems in dreamy romantic serenade add magic and joy to any occasion…”
In time-honoured mediaeval fashion, Mike recreates the role of strolling troubadour musician, serenading you in the style of the age of chivalry – but with a distinct modern twist. Choose your song or tune – be it a Rock’n’Roll standard, Irish jig, Classical or Jazz theme – he’ll play it for you.
A compact and extremely versatile ensemble of violin, piano and ‘cello, the Vintage Piano Trio aims to entertain and delight today’s audience in similar fashion. A duo of violin and piano is also available for intimate occasions, and either a solo pianist or a strolling violin makes a splendid accompaniment to a cocktails event. The Trio’s instruments are entirely acoustic, so electrical amplification of their performance is not required.
Do you require a specific choice of music to enhance a wedding ceremony or to set the atmosphere for a special celebration? No problem – the Vintage Piano Trio will be delighted to be at your service, and will be more than happy to take any further requests on the day from your guests.
Playing an atmospheric mix of popular music, The Vintage Piano Trio will stamp their hallmark of style and class on any sophisticated occasion.
