Located in Cornwall, this professional ensemble of musical friends have steadily been gaining an exceptional reputation throughout the South West and further afield. The quartet have been playing together for the past eight years, individual members having performed and toured with the Netherlands Ballet Company and the Dutch Philharmonic Orchestra at various times during their eclectic and varied performing careers.
The ensemble’s unity and experience shine through with the ethereal sound of two violins, viola and ‘cello played in perfect unison and harmony. This talented group will generate an elegant, magical atmosphere at any social occasion, be it a wedding, birthday party or corporate event. An extensive array of music alternates a selection of traditional classical pieces with beautiful arrangements of modern pop songs from artists such as Adèle and Coldplay. And if there’s a particular special song you’d really like the quartet to play, they will do their best to learn it just for you!
From tiny village churches to massive banqueting halls, Melegari String Quartet have performed in a wide range of different venues, and always take great care in positioning themselves advantageously to achieve the optimum possible acoustic results.
